USDT Fee Calculator: Estimate Your Transfer Cost

Before sending USDT, use this guide to estimate your total cost including both network fees and any exchange withdrawal surcharges.

How to Calculate Your USDT Transfer Fee

Your total USDT transfer cost = Network gas fee + Exchange withdrawal fee (if applicable). For example, if you withdraw TRC-20 USDT from Binance, your cost is 0.29 USDT (Binance fee) + a small TRX gas fee — totaling roughly $0.50–$1.00. If you self-custodly transfer TRC-20 from your own wallet, you only pay the gas fee (~$1.92–$4.01).

Fee Estimation by Network (2025)

  • TRC-20: $1.92 first transfer / $0.96 repeat transfer. With energy rental: as low as $0.68.
  • ERC-20: $0.01–$7 under normal conditions. Up to $30+ during peak.
  • BEP-20: $0.10–$0.50 typical.
  • Polygon: Under $0.05 in most cases.
  • Solana: Under $0.01.
  • TON (Telegram): Fixed at 0.0145 TON (~$0.04). Free between Telegram contacts.

Worked Examples

Example 1: Sending $500 USDT TRC-20 from your hardware wallet to a funded exchange address. Cost: ~$0.96 network fee = 0.19% of transfer value.

Example 2: Withdrawing $100 USDT ERC-20 from Kraken to MetaMask. Cost: $3.20 exchange fee + ~$1.00 gas = $4.20 = 4.2% of transfer value.

Example 3: Sending $50 USDT BEP-20 from Binance. Cost: $0.29 = 0.58% of transfer value.

Rule of Thumb

For transfers under $500, choose TRC-20 or BEP-20. For large institutional transfers where ERC-20 compatibility is required, the fee percentage becomes negligible. Always compare the total fee as a percentage of the amount you are sending to determine the best route.
